“FILMMAKERS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO INFLUENCE HEALTH AND CATALYZE CHANGE” WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO) Dr. J Pietro Aparicio - May 28, 2020

Filmmakers have the power to tell stories to many different audiences. They have the ability to teach, to educate, to stir emotions and to inspire people.

Film is an art form, an education tool, and a vehicle for social change. Filmmakers have a wonderful ability to make us laugh, cry and think. They have the power to create a movement towards a healthier world and healthier communities.

There are a few film festivals in different parts of the world that discovered the power of films in promoting a healthier world.

There are a truly large variety of themes.

Filmmakers have the unique gift to bring these stories to life through their power storytelling gift. The goal of the filmmaker is to entertain, and at the same time to educate, inspire and encourage change for a healthier future.
