MATTER AND SPIRIT
10 Artists from America meet with 10 artists in China to discuss the ephemeral and the ethereal. In “Matter and Spirit”, artists discuss their deep heartfelt connections with the metaphysical, intersecting eastern and western biases. These discussions take place over the course of a few weeks and are captured on film. Inspired by each others’ experiences and orations, the artists return to their respective homes to create works of art based on what they discovered about their relationship to the celestial world.
